The cables have been disorganized for 10 years
and the IT staff has changed.
Getting the mess under control was imperative.
As you can see from the main picture that rack one, was a mess. So many cables that did not belong and were over ran or not plugged in correctly or labed wrong.
This rack filled with random junk and garbage. I had to clean it up and organize it. All of this junk we donated it to a recycling company that came and picked it up for free.
This looks so much better, got some bins and cable ties. Also with all junk out of the way, you able able to walk around in the server room much better.
So our Firewall and AP switches were on the first rack. We decided to move it over. Since the cables were coming up from the floor more in the center of the server room.
Carts and Carts filled with cables that were taken out of the server room.
This is all the stuff we donated to recycling and electronics company. Lots of old or broken equipment that was donated.
